Because my parents have been struggling to be civil to each other recently, during a serious talk with my Dad, I advised him to show mum a little more appreciation and affection.
Dad was an only child who until the age of 21 was tucked in at night with snugglekins bear, this meant he grew up allergic to hugs, I love yous and sympathy in any form, so biting the bullet was going to be hard. Or so I thought.
Today he walked up to mum in a crowded chocolate shop, spun her around, bent her backward and snogged her full on. The heat radiating from my face melted a whole row of Charlie Chimps.
